The Hockenheimring marked the final round of the 2026 season for Euro Moto and also for the Masteroil-alpha-Van Zon-BMW team. Belgian team boss Werner Daemen travelled with his Masteroil-alpha-Van Zon-BMW team to neighbouring Netherlands last weekend. The fifth round of the Euro Moto Superbike championship took place at the TT Circuit Assen, where the MotoGP and WorldSBK series usually take turns hosting races. On the starting grid were Markus Reiterberger (Germany), Jan Mohr (Austria) and Milan Merckelbagh (Netherlands). Hannes Soomer was once again absent due to a shoulder injury. Before Belgian Werner Daemen’s team set off last weekend for their next round of the Euro Moto Superbike series at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, his riders Markus Reiterberger (D), Jan Mohr (A) and Milan Merckelbagh (NL) were able to enjoy a few days off from racing. Estonian rider Hannes Soomer was absent from the line-up for the Masteroil-alpha-Van Zon-BMW team. The Masteroil-alpha-Van Zon BMW team enjoyed a weekend that was hot in every sense of the word at the third round of the former IDM – now known as Euro Moto – in Most, Czech Republic. Team boss Werner Daemen was arrived with his four Superbike riders: Markus Reiterberger (D), Hannes Soomer (EST), Jan Mohr (A) and Milan Merckelbagh (NL), as well as the three Pro Superstock 1000 Cup riders Manuel Schoewer (D), Julius Ilmberger (D) and Ouri Bikkems (B). Temperatures were forecast to be well over 30 degrees, and the challenges for both riders and machines were great.   Markus Reiterberger had secured victory in the first race during the visit to Brno. For the first time in the history of Euro Moto – and thus also for the first time in the long and successful history of the Masteroil-alpha-Van Zon-BMW team – the team travelled to the Czech Moto Grand Prix circuit in Brno. Team boss Werner Daemen had brought just three riders with him this time. The line-up included Markus Reiterberger (GER), Jan Mohr (AUT) and Milan Merckelbagh (NED). The 2025 International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM) season began in May and came to an end last weekend at the Hockenheimring. The Masteroil-alpha-Van Zon-BMW team, led by Belgian Werner Daemen, was represented in the IDM Superbike by Leandro “Tati” Mercado (Argentina), Hannes Soomer (Estonia), Bálint Kovács (Hungary) and Milan Merckelbagh (Netherlands). At the end of the weekend, they were able to celebrate victory in the manufacturers’ classification together with BMW.
